San Diego, CA – Pedestrian Injured Near University Ave Off-Ramp on I-15 NB
San Diego, CA (October 18, 2025) – Emergency crews responded on October 16 to a pedestrian accident on Interstate 15 northbound near the University Avenue off-ramp in San Diego.
According to initial reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area. Responding paramedics provided on-site medical aid before transporting the injured person to Rady Children’s Hospital for further treatment. The individual’s current condition has not yet been disclosed.
Traffic was temporarily slowed as emergency units and California Highway Patrol officers worked to clear the scene and investigate the crash. Authorities are continuing to determine what factors led to the incident, including whether speed, visibility, or pedestrian movement played a role.
The off-ramp was later reopened once the area was deemed safe for travel.
