St. George, UT – 3 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-15 Near Exit 5

St. George, UT (September 2, 2025) – Three people were killed Sunday evening after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 15 in southern Utah, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on August 31, around 6:15 p.m., when a Cadillac sedan entered the northbound lanes from Exit 5 but was travelling south. About a mile later, the Cadillac collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander.

Troopers confirmed the Cadillac’s driver, a woman in her 90s, died from her injuries. She was the only occupant of the vehicle. The driver and front-seat passenger of the Highlander were also killed in the crash. Their names have not yet been released.

Authorities closed the northbound lanes while investigators worked the scene.
