San Diego, CA – Two-Car Crash on I-15 S/Auto Park Leaves Injuries

San Diego, CA (September 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Auto Park resulted in injuries on Monday, September 8. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that a red sedan struck the rear passenger tire of a blue sedan, causing the blue vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier. A black sedan was also involved in the accident.

Emergency crews and local fire units responded quickly, with at least one injured person evaluated on-site and later transported for additional treatment. The crash created a traffic hazard in the HOV lanes, with tow trucks dispatched to remove the wrecked vehicles. Officers worked to reopen the lanes as quickly as possible after clearing debris. The CHP has opened an investigation to determine what led to the multi-car collision.
