San Bernardino Co., CA – Two-Car Accident Causes Injuries on I-15 near MM 184
San Bernardino County, CA (August 30, 2025) – Northbound traffic on Interstate 15 was brought to a halt Friday night following a severe crash near the California-Nevada border that left at least one person critically injured. The incident happened around 10:38 p.m. near mile marker 184, just south of Yates Well Road, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs.
The collision involved two vehicles, including a white Acura, with one car fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly responded to contain the blaze while emergency crews treated the injured. At least one person suffered critical injuries, prompting the request for air medical transport. CHP logs described the scene as a “party close due to a fully engulfed vehicle.”
San Bernardino County Fire and CHP officers coordinated at the scene, which was further complicated by a stopped big rig blocking lanes and creating a major traffic hazard. By 11:16 p.m., Caltrans traffic cameras showed congestion extending for miles as responders worked to secure the area and clear the wreckage.
No additional information has been released regarding the number of injured or their conditions. Authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash.
