Mesquite, NV – One Killed, Another Hurt in Accident on I-15 near MM 106

Mesquite, NV (August 2, 2025) — One person has died and another was seriously injured in a devastating collision that took place early Thursday morning, July 31, on southbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 106.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:49 a.m. following reports of a crash involving a passenger sedan and a commercial truck. Tragically, one male passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Another male passenger sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment. The current condition of the injured individual has not been released.

Due to the severity of the crash, all southbound lanes of I-15 were shut down, and traffic was rerouted onto State Route 170 at Exit 112. Authorities advised that closures would remain in place for an extended period while investigators worked to determine the cause of the incident.
