Benjamin, UT – I-15 Scene of Injury Wreck near Spanish Fork

Benjamin, UT (August 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 15 near Benjamin disrupted Thursday morning traffic, causing lengthy delays for commuters in southern Utah County. The collision occurred on August 7, just south of Spanish Fork and left debris scattered across the roadway.

Trooper Takesha Durrant of the Utah Highway Patrol reported that after the crash, one vehicle came to rest in the center median while the other stopped along the right-hand shoulder. Emergency crews evaluated those involved at the scene and confirmed the injuries were non-life-threatening.

Cleanup crews worked to remove debris that had spread across multiple lanes, prompting the temporary closure of at least one lane. Traffic backups extended for several miles as drivers navigated the congestion.

The Utah Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
