Rainbow, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-15 near Rainbow Scales

Rainbow, CA (August 15, 2025) – A motorcyclist was hurt Friday afternoon following a wreck on northbound Interstate 15 near the Rainbow Scales in northern San Diego County.

The incident occurred on August 15 at approximately 4:42 p.m., when passing drivers spotted the rider down on the freeway shoulder beside a damaged motorcycle.

Cal Fire crews and other emergency responders quickly arrived to render aid. The injured motorcyclist received treatment at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for additional medical attention. At this time, authorities have not confirmed whether any other vehicles were involved, and the rider’s current condition remains unknown.

California Highway Patrol officers closed off the area to ensure safety and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Traffic was briefly slowed near the weigh station as emergency personnel worked.
