Primm, NV – Injuries Result from Accident on I-15 near MM 5
Primm, NV (August 23, 2025) – A major multi-vehicle accident late Thursday night, August 21, has forced the closure of all northbound lanes on Interstate 15 near Primm, leaving five people hospitalized and creating significant travel disruptions. The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) reported the crash occurred around 9:18 p.m. near mile marker 5, just north of the California-Nevada border.
Initial reports indicate that three vehicles were involved, sustaining heavy damage and causing multiple injuries. Emergency crews, including paramedics and Mercy Air, responded promptly. Four victims were taken to nearby hospitals by ground ambulance, while one critically injured individual required air transport via helicopter.
All northbound lanes of I-15 remain closed as emergency personnel continue their work and the helicopter operations take place. NHP has not yet released details regarding the victims’ conditions or when traffic might resume, but motorists should anticipate extended delays through the early morning hours.
