Davis Co., UT – Crash Causes Lane Closures on I-15 Near Legacy Pkwy

Davis County, UT (October 21, 2025) – A traffic crash on southbound Interstate 15 caused major delays on October 20 between Kaysville and Farmington, according to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT).

The collision occurred north of the Legacy Parkway Interchange in a construction zone. Officials said a southbound car swerved to avoid debris on the roadway, sideswiping a semi-truck in the process. The impact caused the semi to strike another vehicle, resulting in significant traffic backups in the area.

While no injuries were reported, both vehicles sustained damage and required towing. Two right lanes were temporarily closed, and drivers were advised to use caution and to expect heavy congestion until the scene was cleared. All lanes were reopened around 5:25 p.m., UDOT confirmed.

The Utah Highway Patrol continues to remind drivers to reduce speeds and stay alert in construction zones to prevent similar incidents.
